Welcome to the online home of West Yarmouth Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. We are an open and welcoming church rooted in the Congregational tradition. Every Sunday we gather for worship at 10:00 am. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month. During our Sunday services we offer nursery care and Sunday school with grades beginning at Pre-K and continuing through eight grade. We also offer a variety of special services throughout the year. During the season of Lent we have a traditional Ash Wednesday service as well as a Tenebrae service on Maundy Thursday. We also offer several Lenten Vespers services as well. On Easter Sunday we gather for a Sunrise service at Sea Gull Beach and a traditional Easter service in our sanctuary. During the months of July and August we offer Beach Services at Sea Gull Beach at 7:00 am. During the season of Advent we also hold several Advent Vespers services. On Christmas Eve we have a traditionalcandlelight service of Lessons and Carols beginning at 7:00 pm. Thanksgiving Pie Sale - Tuesday November 24 beginning at 10:00 sharp
Do you need a delicious, home-made pie to cap off your Thanksgiving feast? Would you like a tasty treat to give as a gift to your host or hostess? You are in luck! Our Women's Fellowship Group has been hard at work preparing pies for our Second Annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale. For just $10 you can purchase a home-made pie all boxed and ready to go. We will have fresh and frozen apple pies and cranberry nut pies along with pumpkin and many other varities to choose from. The sale will be in Baker Hall in the basement of the Cooper Parish Center and the doors will be open at 10:00 am sharp and the pies go fast. See you there!

Advent Vespers Service - Tuesday December 1 and 15 - 6:00pm.
We will gather in our sanctuary for two special Advent Vespers services. The theme for this years services will be, "Traveling the Highways of Advent". These will be brief (35-45 minutes) services of reading, music, and prayer as we prepare for the celebration of the birth of the Christ child. Following the service we everyone is invited to a simple pot-luck dinner in Baker Hall. You do not need to bring a dish to participate as everyone is welcome.

Annual Christmas Fair and Luncheon - Saturday, December 5, 10:00am. to 3:00pm.
We continue a wonderful Cape Cod tradition with our Annual Christmas Fair and Luncheon. Please note the new times for this year! We will have all your favorite items for sale. There will be a Craft Room, a Country Kitchen,  Cookie Country, a Bake Sale, and a Hot Spot with delicious food to go. There will be a Silent Auction, Attic Treasures, a Repeat Boutique, a Jewlery Room, and Christmas greens and decorations. We will be serving lunch in Baker Hall beginning at 10:30 featuring our famous Lobster Rolls along with Clam Chowder and delicious desserts. Please save the date and join us for a wonderful Christmas tradition.

Christmas Concert with John Shaw and Mark Borgmann - Friday, December 18, 7:00 pm.
Once again this year we will be hosting a concert featuring wonderful sounds of the season performed by John Shaw and Mark Borgmann. The blend of John's tones on the sax and Mark's mastery of the keyboard make for an entertaining evening. There will also be delicious holiday refreshments served during intermission. The doors will be open at 6:30 and there is no admission charge for this event as we will be accepting a free will offering at the door. What a terrific way to boost your Christmas Spirit! We hope to see you there.

Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols - Thursday December 24, 7:00 pm.

Please join us for the telling of the story of the birth of Jesus through the story of the Gospels and traditional Christmas music. The service concludes in candlelight with the singing of Silent Night. Pleae come be part of this most joyous of services.

Thrift Shop open Wednesday through Saturday 11:00am until 3:00pm
Our Thrift Shop is located in the basement underneath our Sanctuary. They carry a wide variety of items including clothing, housewares, books, toys, and many other things. The Thrift Shop is staffed by volunteers from our church family and all items are donated. All proceeds are used to fund the ministry of our congreation in our community and in the wider world.


West Yarmouth Congregtional Church, United Church of Christ is located on Route 28 in West Yarmouth. Please note that if you are using GPS to find us you need to enter our address as "383 Route 28, West Yarmouth, Massachusetts" to get accurate directions. Local directions are as follows:

Route 28

We are located directly on Route 28 on the corner of Lewis Road, next door to the West Yarmouth Library. We are approximately 3.5 miles west of the Bass River Bridge and approximately 2.5 miles east of the Airport Rotary in Hyannis.

Route 6 (east and west)

Take exit 7 from Route 6. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp. Turn left onto Higgins-Crowell Rd (look to the left for our sign at the corner) Follow Higgins Crowell Rd. for approximately 2.5 miles to Route 28. Turn right onto Route 28, the church will be 1/4 mile on your left.
